Little did you know, but Pittsburgh's one-time jazz-pop band, the Metropolitans, a group that ended its successful musical foray almost two years ago, had a child... a reckless, soulful, more retro, yet equally original child. Nightly Standard incorporates some familiar faces from the Metropolitans, the Hang Lows and Reel-a-Peel along with sounds from the r&b, neo-soul and jazz genres. This new collaboration provides the local music community with a live, fresh and very welcome originality, featuring a three-piece horn section, a female lead singer and the melodic flow of an experimentally-minded rhythm section. Mojoflo:

Mojoflo is more than a name, it is a sound. Multiple layers of vocals, synths, and horns blend to create genre bending sonic textures guaranteed to please the ear. Mix Hip-Hop/Funk backbeats with powerful vocal delivery and jazzy keyboards. Now throw in tight bass ang guitar, stir in soulful horns, and a whole bunch of raw groove.
